Predictions & Spells

A special pop-up exhibition lasting only 4 days in a magical place in the attic of Emi Art in the heart of the City Center. Still lifes by Wiktor Dyndo with a map of the world, the flag of the European Union or mysterious flowers emerging from clouds of smoke inhabit the attic of the building together with nocturnes by Katarzyna Wiesiołek imbued with the melancholy of an impenetrable wilderness and the promise of something new yet to grow over the horizon. Also gleaming in the twilight are two gold pictures by Maja Kitajewska, embroidered with sequins, imagining variations of fantastic coats of arms, alchemical emblems or a magical sigil sealing a spell.

To what extent does the future depend on us, how to accommodate our desires and dispel our fears? What does the dawn light prepare for us, once the night shrouding the ending year is over? These are not questions of knowing what will happen, in fact, they serve as a ritual often disguised as a fun way of strengthening the ties that bind us together so we can go into the future together in a better mood.
