Naoki Fuku "Study of Human Mind"

Naoki Fuku is a Japanese artist born in 1974. 'Study of Human Mind' is an ever-expanding major series of works - both ink paintings and performance actions - that address social and cultural issues through the lens of individual relationships and emotional states. Contemporary life seems saturated with an overabundance of triggers, agendas and needs, hence Naoki Fuku's expressionist poetic attempt to enter an intimate dimension and confront his own anxiety. Another series whose works on canvas are also included in the exhibition is 'Lost' which refers to collective memory and the blurring of details over time. The ink-painted lines form rippling labyrinths filling the silhouettes of figures and various creatures recalled from the past.
