Antoni Starowieyski
Antoni Starowieyski was born in Warsaw in 1973. He studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts from 1992-1997 where he received his diploma under Professor Stefan Gierowski. Professor at the Faculty of Painting at his Alma Mater. He has exhibited at more than 15 individual exhibitions, among others, at Galeria XXI, Galeria Promocyjna, aTAK Gallery, including five individual shows at the Szydłowski Gallery. In 1999 he got award – Art magazine “Format” Editor-in-chief's Prize recipient in the Geppert Competition in Wroclaw, during the National Exhibition of Young Painting. 2005 he received a grant from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. In 2010 he was nominated for the Cyprian-Kamil-Norwid-Prize of local government of Mazowsze voivodship in the Field of Art for a solo exhibition at the Gallery aTAK (Warsaw). In 2011 he was nominated for TVP Kultura "Guarantees of Culture" Prize in the visual arts category for a solo exhibition at the Gallery Szydlowski.
